About Us

Massimo came to New Zealand on holiday from Puglia in 2004 and was surprised at the lack of fresh mozzarella, in a country with such high quality dairy.

In 2010, Massimo and his wife Marina decided to come back (after a 3 year apprentice ship in Italy), to settle here and fill the gap in the market making fresh Burrata, Mozzarella, Scamorza and Ricotta, under the brand name Italian Cheeses.

Our products were well received at La Cigale market in Auckland and we continued to fill a gap in the market for fresh Mozzarella.

Fast forward to 2020, you can find our fresh Italian Cheeses in most supermarkets or foodservice outlets, our team continues to strive to provide the freshest, Italian style cheeses in NZ.
